Avicii is currently fending off the mighty One Direction in the race for next Sunday’s No.1.

In today’s Official Chart Update the UK’s current No.1 Hottest Summer Superstar poll with over 10 million votes so far shot straight into the midweek Top 5 after releasing Best Song Ever on Monday and if they can manage to overtake the Swedish DJ it’ll be their fourth UK No.1 single.

Elsewhere in the midweek Top 10, former chart-toppers Robin Thicke, John Newman and Icona Pop all shift down a place to round off the Top 5 while Passenger climbs back up to No.7 with Let Her Go.
