Avicii, Tiesto And More Light Up London For EDC
REVIEW: Neon madness takes over London's Olympic Park…
As Lovebox celebrated its 11th birthday just a few miles away, Electric Daisy Carnival was popping its international cherry on UK soil on Saturday July 20 at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Summary: Whilst the hype of the North American festival probably gave everyone high expectations, for a first-time festival outside its native country, EDC looks set to rival the London dance festival scene. The sound quality for an inner-city festival was great and the capital saw a glimpse of what we’ve been missing over the Atlantic.
With such a draw throughout the day on the main stage however, the smaller tents were often left half full yet the energy levels remained high. The daisy has bloomed and the only way is up – bring on next year where we're sure things are going to a lot noisier, a lot brighter and a lot weirder.
