Azealia Banks Attempts To Defend Her Zayn Malik Comments But Doesn’t Actually Apologise

Cool.

After her shocking Twitter rant against Zayn Malik this week, Azealia Banks has attempted to defend her comments against the star.

But instead of, you know, actually apologising for the insanely offensive things she spouted, she’s decided to go in a different direction and reckons she was actually just reminding Zaynthat ‘they’re in the same boat’.

Sure.

Azealia deleted all of her previous tweets, before posting her thoughts on everything that went down on Tuesday night.

Continuing to claim that he stole the idea for his new music video from her, she wrote: “I said what I said to Zayn because I was angry.

“He felt as if he was too good to acknowledge me yet not too good to copy my creativity.

“I had to remind him that we’re both in the same boat in this industry and people of colour by reminding him that no matter what you may think of yourself, the world still sees you as ‘other’.”

We’re not even going to go into how problematic that statement is.

She added afterwards: “Resisting The Urge to say loads more terrible things to each and every one of u's. [sic]

“But obviously I'm insanely f**king talented and have already lowered myself to the levels of ppl who don't even deserve to share the same air I breathe.”

Meanwhile, Azealia has been dropped as headliner of Born & Bred festival for her comments against Zayn, and it’s even being reported that the Home Office (aka the people who let you into the UK) are investigating her tweets.
