Backstreet Boys Deny Joint Spice Girls Tour

A rep for the US group have clarified comments made by member Brian Littrell

The Backstreet Boys have denied claims that they will be hitting the road with the Spice Girls on a joint headline tour.

Over the weekend, BSB singer Brian Littrell was quoted by The Sun as saying: "We are actually in early talks about maybe doing a world tour together with the Spice Girls.”

However, a spokesperson for the American man-band has clarified his comments, explaining to MTV News US that there is no such tour in the works.

The group are instead due to start a jaunt with Avril Lavigne this summer, while the Spice Girls continue to tease a potential reunion in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe.

Emma Bunton also recently joked that she would consider a Las Vegas residency with the band - but only if they were paid more than Britney Spears.

Despite the reports, Victoria Beckham has already ruled out a comeback with Baby, Ginger, Sporty and Scary, stating: "I won't ever do it again.

"Sometimes you have to know when it is time to leave the party. Singing at the Olympics was an incredible honour. I was so proud to do it."

Posh Spice added to Vanity Fair Italy: "That was the perfect time to say, ‘That’s great, thanks to all, but enough'."
