Barack Obama Jokes About Jay-Z And Taylor Swift
US President also appears as Daniel Day Lewis in video skit...
US President Barack Obama has included jokes aboutJay-Z and Taylor Swift in his annual speech to a star-studded White House Correspondents' Dinner.
The comedically gifted leader of the free world made reference to the recent fuss about Jay-Z's trip to Cuba and compared his Republican rivals to Swift in his speech.
He said: "These days, I look in the mirror and I have to admit, I'm not the strapping young Muslim socialist that I used to be.
"Some things are beyond my control. For example, this whole controversy about Jay-Z going to Cuba - it's unbelievable. I've got 99 problems and now Jay-Z is one.
"We need to make progress on some important issues. Take the sequester. Republicans fell in love with this thing, and now they can't stop talking about how much they hate it. It's like we're trapped in a Taylor Swift album."
And the prez also in a video clip with movie legend Steven Spielberg - in which he pretended to be Daniel Day Lewis playing himself.
He said: "I want to acknowledge a wonderful friend, Steven Spielberg, and Daniel Day-Lewis, who are here tonight. I am a little nervous, though, about Steven's next project. I saw a behind-the-scenes look on HBO - well, let's just check it out. Roll the tape."
The audience included PSY, Katy Perry, Rebel Wilson and Sharon Stone.
