Barack Obama On Ellen's Oscars Selfie: "It Was A Pretty Cheap Stunt"

Barack Obama has poked fun at Ellen DeGeneres' Oscars selfie during an appearance on her chat show yesterday (March 19).
The US president joked that he was upset after the snap broke his Twitter record of getting the most retweets, calling it "a cheap stunt".
Obama previously held the Twitter title after being re-elected in 2012, with Ellen smashing his record after posting a snap of herself, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and more Hollywood A-Listers during the Academy Awards ceremony last month.
Breaking the news to Obama, Ellen said: "I don't know if you know this, but I was aiming to break your record of retweets and I apologise for doing it. But I broke your retweet record."
The 52-year old politician then hit back: "I heard about that. I thought it was a pretty cheap stunt myself. Getting a bunch of celebrities in the background...you feeding them pizza."
During his interview, Obama also admitted to being a fan of hit Netflix series House Of Cards - but added that his daily routine "wouldn't make very good television".
He added: "I watch House Of Cards. I haven't seen Scandal yet, but Michelle has watched Scandal. I have to tell ya, life in Washington is a little more boring than displayed on the screen.
"The truth of the matter is, if you followed me, most of my day is sitting in a room listening to a bunch of folks in grey suits talking about a whole bunch of stuff that wouldn't make very good television."
