Michael Keaton Supports Ben Affleck As Batman

FormerBatmanstar Ben Affleck as the caped crusader.

The 61-year-old, who appeared in Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns, has thrown his weight behind the controversial appointment of Affleck for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel.

Asked for his thoughts by US gossip site TMZ, he said: "It's going to be great, [Ben] will be great."

Affleck's casting has also been praised by original screen Batman Adam West, by Joss Whedon and by The Dark Knight Rises star Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

However, while supporting Ben, his close pal Matt Damon has declared that he won't be playing Robin.
