This Real-Life Harry Potter And Batman Crossover Will Blow Your Mind

'Wayne Manor' used as venue for Quidditch tournament...

Imagine that you were tasked with booking the venue for a real-life Quidditch tournament, surely the location used for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies would be the first place on your list?

But either Alnwick Castle in Northumberland was already booked up for last weekend or it was too far for the teams involved to travel - because they ended up staging the contest at stately Wayne Manor instead!

[related]Wollaton Hall in Nottingham - which doubled for Bruce Wayne's ancestral home in The Dark Knight Rises - played host to the second British Quidditch Cup, which saw 23 teams running round with broomsticks between their legs.

QuidditchUK's president Amy Maidment told the BBC: "We want people to discover what we do and see us as a legitimate sport rather than imitating Harry Potter, so we put it in a public place to get that exposure."

Well, it seems to have worked. Next stop the Olympic Games... maybe.
