Warner Brothers 'Wants Grizzled Batman'
Studio reportedly seeking older actor to play caped crusader...
Warner Brothers is reported to be seeking a "grizzled" actor to play Batman in the sequel to Man Of Steel.
The Batman On Film blog broke the news that the movie studio wants an older actor for the role - and the claim has since been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
The blogger wrote: "The new Batman that will appear in the Man Of Steel sequel will be older. Like mid-40s older.
"That tells me that we're definitely not getting a rookie Batman – this new Batman will be a grizzled veteran who has been on the job, if you will, for several years."
Names in the frame according to THR include Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Joe Manganiello, Richard Armitage and Max Martini.
The sequel is set for release in 2015. Armie Hammer recently ruled himself out for the role.
