Ariana Grande & John Legend Will Be Performing A Major Song In Beauty And The Beast

This could be amazing.

Ariana Grande and John Legend will be performing the title track for the new 'Beauty and the Beast' film, a remake of the animated Disney classic, now starring Emma Watson and Dan Evans.

The original ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was sung by Angela Lansbury for the film, and won an Oscar in 1992 for Best Original Song. No pressure Ariana and John!

Grande and Legend’s recording of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ will be heard both in the film and on the official soundtrack.

The original song was later translated into a pop duet by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson, and it broke into the Billboard Top 10.

The new version will be produced by Ron Fair (Christina Aguilera, The Black Eyes Peas), who said: “Stepping into the shoes of an Oscarand Grammy Award-winning classic is not small potatoes. But with today’s two greatest singers – John Legend and Ariana Grande – we are bringing the song back with a new school/old school fresh treatment that shows the soulfulness and power of what a great melody and lyric can inspire.”

Meanwhile, the first clip of Emma Watson singing was released earlier this week. Listen to Emma here.

Emma might have killer vocals, but she definitely does not have a killer doll. Why? Because the official 'Beauty and the Beast' doll of Emma Watson looks like Justin Bieber in a dress. Yep. Check that out here.

The official synopsis for the new film is: “Disney’s'Beauty and the Beast'is a live-action adaptation of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs.”
