Kim Kardashian has one of the most bangin' bods in the world. Fact. So we scoured that same earth to find the best of her fitness tips so we can (realistically or not) get an ass that you can bounce a quarter off, as the yanks would say...
1. Change up your diet on the regular…
"Kanye loves to eat really healthy and is always on different diets…We just started seeing a nutritionist who changes our diet every 10 days.”
2. Oil yourself up before a work-out…
"I put the body oil [like Elizabeth Arden Cream All-Over Miracle Oil] all over my body because I heard if you put it on before you work out, you get really firm skin and no wrinkles."
3. Ditch the carbs…
Kim, who used to love cheeseburgers and enchiladas says: "I wouldn't dare eat like that now. These days I prefer salads with grilled chicken or turkey burgers without the bun."
4. Start the day with eggs…
Kim’s nutritionist Colette Heimowitz says “Kim kicks off her day with a two egg omelet, stuffed with cheese and spinach on the reg. For the best results, eat the yolk. They're one of the most potent dietary sources of metabolism-boosting B vitamin choline, an essential nutrient used in the construction of all the body's cell membranes. Two eggs will give you half your day's worth.”
5. Work-out your way…
“Running takes me about 35 minutes on the trails, and then I'll come back and work my abs or legs. I like to listen to music while I work out, but I don't need it to pump me up or get energized. It's weird—I'll put my iPod on shuffle and listen to slow R&B songs or even classical music, which most people think is so bizarre. I don't need anything fast."
6. Have protein with every meal…
"Kim always consumes four to six ounces of protein at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The protein source can be eggs, beef, poultry, fish, or tofu and it can be lean or fatty; even marbled cuts of beef are fine on occasion. Not only does fat give food taste, it's filling so it can help you eat less," says Heimowitz.
7. Order the same thing when you’re out…
Heimowitz says Kim’s go-to restaurant orders are “steak and Caesar salad (without croutons) or baked wild salmon and cooked vegetables.”
8. Work-out with your other half…
"What is really cool about [Kim and Kanye] is that they really are best friends. They never run out of stuff to talk about. They distract each other [by] talking about North, or architecture, or fashion or whatever. They work really well together,” says Harley Pasternak, one of Kim’s trainers.
9. Don’t swear off treats…
"If I need a sweet-tooth fix, I'll have those Justin's peanut butter packs; the almond butter is also really good. I'll just eat it plain. I don’t totally swear off treats.”
10. Live that healthy lyf…
Heimowitz says: “She’s making Atkins a lifestyle now. It’s not like when you lose weight and go back to what you ate. She’s looking so good and eating so well. It helped her rejuvenate — after pregnancy, the body goes through a lot, and you need those kinds of macronutrients to get back your health and your strength. Kim can be motivation for all of us. She works hard! It’s not easy, you know? Nobody should think it’s that easy. It takes commitment and motivation and consistency.”
11. Aim to keep it 100…
The Kardashian's fave perosnal trainer, Gunnar Petersen says: “Shoot for 100% and you’ll end up at 80-85% and you’ll be great. Shoot for 80-85% and you’ll end up at 65-70% and you’ll be disappointed – regularly.”
