Braided Balayage Is The Weirdest Method For Getting An Even Ombre

Will also make you look a bit like Cindy-Lou Who.

There's nothing the internet likes more than a new hair trend and today is no exception thanks to a hair dyeing technique that will not only give you a gloriously even balayage, but will have you looking like a Who escaped from Whoville in the process.

Called 'braided balayage', the technique being pioneered by Lebanese salon Mounir involves braiding your hair before painting on your bleach to give you a soft and even dispersion of lightened strands.

It doesn't end there either and the technique involves braiding your pigtails along a wire, leaving out little sections on the underside every time you plait. For some reason they then pin the hair up before thebleach is applied to the hair left out to give that even and subtle ombre effect.

To be perfectly honest, we're not 100% sure why it's a thing but apparently that's just the internet for you. And hey, who doesn't secretly wish they looked like Cindy-Lou Who whengetting their hair did?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They've also got a nifty technique going on for a more intense ombre, which involves putting in colour by layering your ponytail into sections with paper.
