You've Been Applying Glitter Nail Polish Wrong This Whole Time
Yep, even you.
There's little that's worse than buying an nail polish that looks like it's going to be an explosion of glitter for the fingertips, which then turns out to be a bit lacking on the sparkle front when you actually try it on.
But it turns out that there's a reason we all keep getting a little disappointed by glittery nail varnish and it's all to do with the way we apply it.
Yep, we've all been putting it on wrong this entire time, as beauty blogger Kelli Marissa has pointed out in a handy new tutorial.
Anyway, instead of painting it on like a normal polish, the trick is actually to dab it on. This builds up the intensity of glitter so you get a really sparkly finish.
Kelli also advises applying the polish to a sponge and then using that to apply to the nail. This way the excess liquid is soaked into the sponge and you are left with a higher glitter ratio on the nail.
To finish all you need is a sweep of clear polish over the top and you'll have a smooth set of talons that are read to go.
