Here’s What 100 Layers Of Hair Extensions Looks Like
Thought you’d seen vloggers tackle 100 layers of everything they could, after seeing them demonstrating layers upon layers of foundation, nail polish (hiya, nail polish mountain), fake tan, clothing and every type of make-up in one go?
Well, it turns out there’s still some discoveries to be made, with YouTuber Kayley Melissa making it her mission to show us what 100 layers of hair extensions look like.
Want a hint? A heavy but weirdly majestic hair MOUNTAIN.
Our hair suddenly feels really heavy and we’re not wearing any extensions right now.
Here’s Kayley with just her natural hair:
She first explained that she’d be counting each weft as one layer, so anything with more than one weft would be counted accordingly:
Things started well, with Kayley explaining that she felt like Lilly Singh with ‘mermaid hair goals’:
Here’s the quarter mark, where her hair looked all kinds of fancy but also ALL OF THE HEAVY:
At the halfway point, Kayley was starting to not feel quite so mermaid-y: ‘Have we gone past goals?’
SO. MUCH. HAIR. So little time.
By the end, Kayley had well and truly built herself a hair mountain, and we just had a lot of emotions about it:
Mainly how do we get our hair to look this voluminous, thick and luscious without all the stress and heaviness please?
Kayley then tried a few styles to tame her mane, including the biggest bun we've ever seen...
...And this fishtail plait that could probably earn her a place in the hair hall of fame:
Conclusion: As cool as this end result is, it's probably best not to try this one at home, if only for the sake of not totally ruining your locks.
