Kendall Jenner's Hack For Clearing Body Acne Is A Game Changer
Say SEE YA to spotty shoulders.
Spots on your face are one thing, but let's take a moment for the pimples that people often forget: the ones you get ALL over your body.
Whether it's down your back or the odd one on your shoulders, body acne (which we like to refer fondly to as 'bacne') is a pain in the arse and one person who totally feels you on this is Kendall Jenner.
While she might be a supermodel now, she's been pretty open about her battle with acne over the years and has spoken out about the insecurities it gave her.
Luckily working with her dermatologist, skincare guru Christie Kidd, has helped Kendall feel more confident about her skin and now she wants to share some of the tips she's picked up with the rest of us.
Inviting Christie to do a video on her website, she revealed a few basic pieces of advice for anyone sick of bacne and all it'll take is a few simple changes to your daily showering routine.
According to Christie, the main cause of body acne comes from how you wash your hair. Conditioners in particular are full of excess moisture and leaving hair with product on resting against your skin while you let it work its magic is a big cause of blocking pores, which in turn causes these dreaded spots.
There is an easy solution and her advice is to always make sure that you use your body wash after you've conditioned to clear the clingy, greasy formula fully from your skin. She also recommends pinning hair with conditioner in it up, so it doesn't get on your back and shoulders too much in the first place.
Of course she reommends using a good bodywash with skin-clearing properties too and her top pick is the Murad Acne Body Wash, which should be lathered on and left to sit. When everything else is done, wash it off as the last thing you do just before you get out of the shower.
SORTED. Or at least you will be after you sort out your conditioning routine and go have a watch of the full video over on Kendall's website now.
