Kim Kardashian Is Officially Over Contouring And Obsessing Over This Makeup Trend Instead

Nontouring is officially the new contouring.

Bad news for anyone who's only just got a hang of using cleverly blended darker makeup to help make your face look as sculpted as a Kardashian's, because Queen of Contouring Kim Kardashian has some bad news: she's officially over it.

Yes, the sad news is true and while it might be the massive makeup trend she herselfmade famous, Kimmy K has declared that she's had enough of contouring for now.

There's no need to sob into that astronomically priced sculpting palette you just invested in though as luckily Kim has a whole new trend for us to get excited about instead, and that is 'nontouring' or - as you probably know it best -'strobing'.

To be fair, this isn't really a new trend at all, but now that Kim's on board with it, we're guessing there's not even a shred ofdoubt that it's going to become even more of a *thing*.

Evenif it's not one you're familiar with, chances are you're already sort of doing it as strobing/nontouring/whatever you want to call itis essentially the opposite of contouring and basically just sees you usean illuminating highlighter to add glowy depth to the face. All it really means is that you use your highlighter stick, powder or cream to create a sculpted effect with light instead of the dark or a contouring product.

Chatting about swapping in the heavily made up look for something a little simpler and more natural during the Vogue 100 Festival in London, Kim said:"I think right now it's more about nontouring, like real skin with less make-up on it. I'm trying to wear less ... and my husband loves me without make-up.

"Now when I travel, I just bring a small makeup case, and I'm content with that. I'm really into strobing now, so just highlighting the skin without using bronzer."

It's super easy to do too and a lot less difficult to even out than a contour. So instead of applying dark shades under the cheekbone and under the jaw to create shadow, you apply the highlighter on all the protusions to accentuate features like your natural cheekbones.

As well as those, apply down the centre of the nose, a dot between the eyebrows, a dot at the top of the forehead, a dot on your cupid's bow and the same amount onthe point of the chin. Then, when the light hits your face, it accentuates your natural bone structure with a little bit of shimmer.

It's perfect for a summer glow and if you need a recommendation of a product to try it out with, this is the £5 highlighter that theinternet is officially freaking out over right now.

SORTED.
