Kylie Jenner Issues Warning Over Fake Lip Kits As One Fan Claims Her Lips Were Glued Shut By Knock Off
No thank you please.
Kylie Jenner's infamous Lip Kits might always be selling out, but don't let that tempt you into buying one from anywhere other that the Kylie Cosmetics site as the youngest Kardashian has revealed that many of these products being sold under her name are fakes.
Even worse, she reckons that much of the ingredients being put in these counterfeits are potentially harmful to your health.
Having tracked down one of many fake websites claiming to be run by Kylie herself, she explained via Snapchat just how worrying this is for her. Besides selling products she doesn't even make with slightly altered packaging, Kylie said that her team have informed her that some of the ingredients listed in these products are not necessarily very safe or good for you to be putting on your lips.
Fans who've bought these fakes have also claimed that there's some pretty scary stuff in these products.
One fan even shared a video wearing a knockoff version of the kit, which she says contained glue:
Adding that her team are busy trying to shut down these fakes, Kylie said: “I’ve come across this website called kyliecosmeticsoutlet.com. It looks exactly like mine, but it’s not. I want to be really, really clear and let you guys know that the only place to get my products is kyliecosmetics.com.
“Everywhere else is fake. Make sure you guys check the URL because these other websites are selling fake product. It might look exactly like mine, but it’s not mine.”
She then called out the ingredients, saying: "And the ingredients they are using in these fake products are really, really dangerous, which is my biggest concern."
With fans asking how to tell a fake, Kylie said the best thing to do is only ever buy directly from KylieCosmetics.com, but did offer a little bit of advice to help people know if theirs are legit or not:
So there you have it - do your lips a favour in the long-run and don't fall for these so-called 'bargains'.
