Relive 100 Years Of Nail Art In One Video
BRB, off to get a whole new nail polish collection.
Anyone who knows us will be more than a little aware than we’ve been trying to perfect our nail painting technique for as long as we’ve been alive (sort of), which has resulted in us changing our nail polish more often than our socks.
By which we mean we change our nails more than once a day, which is obviously how often we let our feet have a breather. Unless it's a pyjama weekend, in which case YOLO.
Anyway, as it happens, other people have also been trying out new nail styles for the past 100 years, as this new video from Mode proves.
Giving us brand new nailspo (we're going to make that happen), the video takes us through everything from the simplicity of 1916 to the bubblegum pink of 1966 and the sparkle of 1976.
And of course, the video ends by bringing us up-to-date with modern day’s answer to nail artwork (although thankfully not our version, which generally ends up just being a big lump of glitter on top of a gloopy chipped mess).
BRB, off to buy ourselves a whole new set of nail polish. And maybe some art lessons.
