Just when we thought we had our eyeliner look perfected (well, some days anyway), ribbon eyeliner has arrivedto take our makeup to the next level.

Well, we’re going to try anyway. If all else fails, it’ll still be our gorgeous newobsession that we spend two hours scrolling through on Instagram before bed.

It’s a win-win situation.

As shown in the awesome tutorial video above, ribbon liner (or corkscrew, spiral or twisted liner)starts with a pretty standard liner look, with an extra long, extended flick at the end.

Beauty blogger extraordinaires are then addingcoloured, ombré orjust simpleblack-and-white intertwined spirals around the linerflick to create the ribbon effect.

OR, you could even flip-reverse it, using a coloured eyeliner for the base and black for the ribbon:

Sure, ours might end up looking more like a squiggly blob than a spiralthanks to our less-than-steady eyeliner skills, but it’s the effort and thought that counts, right?
