Rose Gold Blonde Is The New Dreamy Instagram Hair Trend For Autumn
From darker strawberry blonde to ombre fades to mermaid-y pink highlights, Insta is all about that rose gold hue right now...
Now that autumn is approaching Instagrammers are falling in love with a new warmer hue to contend with the grey/silver ombre hair craze, and it's dreamy AF.
Meet rose gold blonde:
Anyone who's ever fallen head first into a two hour Instagram black hole will have probably have spotted a lot of variations of this gorge colour doing the rounds on the platform.
And the beauty of the rose gold phenomenon is that it's already been interpreted in so many different ways, from darker strawberry blondes to ombre fades to mermaid-y pink highlights.
This isn't actually a totally new trend as Emma Roberts' hairstylist Nikki Lee dubbed the actress's new golden barnet 'desert rose' back in April, but social media has finally caught up and seems to be jumping right on the magical shade's bandwagon.
Butterfly Studio colourist Tamara DeFelice told Popsugar that rose gold will be the perfect Autumn shade and offered her advice for people wanting to run straight to the hairdressers:
"For a modern touch, keep most brightness around the face while staying a bit deeper in the roots throughout the crown," she advises.
"Concentrate highlights around the middle to ends of the hair. This keeps maintenance lower, and adds instant depth to the look."
And the greatest thing is that it's not just for blondes! Although slightly more tricky to get the desired effect, the trend is still possible on brunettes, especially if you've got warm undertones in their hair.
"This colour will also accentuate the peach and gold tones in women with warmer skin tones," Tamara adds. "Also, it will bring out the honey tones in their eyes."
