So, you've seen all the amazing pics of girls swishing their achingly cool rainbow hair about all over Instagram, but how do you 'actually' get the look without shelling out hundreds of quid down the salon?

It turns out there i's 'a sneaky hack that London stylist Harriet Muldoon from uber cool salon Blue Tithas been using that you can do yourself at home.

AND- even better -it's so easy thateven inexperienced hair dyeing enthusiasts like you or us can give it a go.

The trick is called 'sun buns' and the basic idea is that you separate your hair into loads of little buns, then apply different colours of dye.

That way, it's much easier to evenly distribute your colours and create thetie-dye effect without getting into too much of a mess, and without it taking it up too much of yourtime.

Simples.

Chatting to Glamour about the technique, Harriet advised applying different colours to each bun to give "a marble effect."

If you're using semi-permanent dyes, she reckons you want to leave your colour on at least 10 minutes and apply it after you've pinned your hair up into at least six buns.

Still sounding a bit much? Then you could just head to Blue Tit to get them to do it for you.
