Urban Decay Are Discontinuing The Naked Palette

Why do bad things happen to good people?

We are gathered here today to pay tribute to the Nakedpalette,as in a fairly devastating turn of events,Urban Decay have just announced that they are discontinuing the iconic eyeshadow palettethat inspired a cult range of spin-offs and dupes.

It's time to wave a tearfulgoodbye to Sin, Toasted and more of your favourite smokey, sparkly eye shades becauseafter eight years, the brand have decided to retire it from the collection and will cease selling it later this year.

Announcing the news with a video of an actual funeral they held for it, UD captioned the post: "Today, we mourn our beloved original Naked Palette, a revolutionary product that changed the beauty industry forever 🖤🥀 A little bit naughty, often dramatic, and always in the press, the innovative game-changer and category creator will be laid to rest after 8 years."

With so many celeb fans, the brand even invited along Kandee Johnson, MakeupShayla and Katy from Lustrelux to help commemorate the good times and lay the palette to its final rest.

The good news is that this discontinuation of the Naked1doesn't mean the end of the Naked2 or latest spin-off, the NakedHeat palette, so you will at least still be able to get a slight Nakedfix. It also won't disappear from shops immediately and instead UD are offering you the chance to snap up a final Nakedpalette(or should we say final five?) for a discounted price both online and in store, so GO GO GO if you're keen to get in on the deal.

But for now, let's hear it for the originalNakedpalette.

You werewith us through the good times and you werewith us during the slightly more questionable times when we really had no defined understanding of the valueofblending out our eyecolours, but youwill forever be in our hearts nonetheless.

RIP, old friend. You will be missed.
