Fans Are Divided Over Gigi And Bella Hadid Posing Naked Together For Vogue
The sisters were photographed by Steven Meisel for the nude shot.
Gigi and Bella Hadid have posed naked together for British Vogue and fans of the models aren't too sure whether they love or loathe the resulting image.
The supermodels are major players in the fashion world at the moment, so it makes sense that photographer Steven Meisel would jump at the chance to work with both of them.
Let's get checking out an update from MTV News...
The pair each featured in their own individual cover of the magazine under the tagline: "The power of the Hadid's" but it's the shot of them naked together that has divided their fanbase.
The image portrays the sisters entwined around each other, with Gigi positioning her leg over Bella and bringing a hand up to rest on her chest. All in all, a pretty artsy shot, right?
But some people felt a bit conflicted about the snap, writing: "Umm... can we just please not deny that this is weird. Sisters don't sit like this," and branding the final shot "creepy."
Even so, others defended the image and said that the critics have missed the entire concept of the photoshoot: "Y'all obviously have taken art in a wrong way," one person pointed out.
It's worth keeping in mind that the photographer who snapped the iconic image previously worked with Madonna for her book Sex and is known in the industry for using nudity on Vogue covers.
So hey, we shouldn't be too surprised about the lack of clothes in the picture.
In the accompanying interview, Gigi opened up about her close connection to Bella: "She’s one of the only people I’ll get aggressive for. She makes me so proud. I would do anything for her," she revealed.
