Stars Turn Out For Bernie Mac Funeral
The likes of Samuel L Jackson and Chris Rock pay last respects
Several stars gathered in Chicago over the weekend for funeral of comic actor Bernie Mac.
The likes of Samuel L Jackson, Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer and Reverend Jesse Jackson were all in attendance at the service at the House of Hope church in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday afternoon (August 16).
In all, more than 6000 fans and locals crowded outside at the service to say their goodbyes to the Oceans 11 star. Letters of condolence from the likes of TV host Oprah Winfrey and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama were read aloud at the service, and a slideshow of photos from the star's life was played on video screens.
Bernie Mac died on August 9, aged 50, after losing his battle with pneumonia.
