Bestival 07 Tix Go On Sale!

Following the best ever Bestival, a few tix are now available for next year

A number of tickets have gone on-sale for next years Bestival festival, for which promoters have big plans.

Just a few-hundred hours after the most successful Bestival to date, festival organisers Sunday Best told mtv.co.uk that next year's festival will bring: New themes, more fun and the best festival of the season!

The festival at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle Of Wight is the creation of Sunday Best promoters Rob and Josie Da Bank and is fast becoming a highlight of the UKs busy festival calendar.

This years event saw headlining acts Scissor Sisters and Pet Shop Boys joined by an eclectic bill that also included newer bands such as The Young Knives and Hot Chip, classic acts such as The Fall, John Martyn and The Stranglers and a range of smaller music, theatre and alternative performances.

This years fancy dress parade led by MTV favourites The Cuban Brothers saw a 15,000 crowd in a variety of costumes and managed to defeat last years record-breaking 11,000 dressed-up punters which made the Guinness Book of Records.

Mtv.co.uks favourite performances of the weekend included King Creosote, The Aliens, The Egg and Get Cape.Wear Cape.Fly. as well as the main headliners. Pet Shop Boys greatest hit set on Saturday was a huge crowd pleaser while Scissor Sisters performance on Sunday night entered into the Bestival spirit with the band all dressed as clowns. The group also arrived a day early to sample the festival highlights and join the crowd.

Lily Allen was also much in evidence with a main stage set and guest appearances with Mark Ronson and The Klaxons.
