Bestival Day 3
Primal Scream, DJ Yoda and Bat For Lashes finish the festival in style.
Sunday was a particularly hazy day for many revellers and MTV News.
The weather was still beautiful but watching DJs through Saturday night into the morning took its toll.
Natasha Khan/ Bat For Lashes always perks us up though. The stunningly beautiful singer opened the main stage with her all female cosmic band.
The Mercury nominated singer is beguiling throughout its just a shame shes on so early. Wait till next year and shell be even more enthralling as the sun sets.
DJ Yoda warms up the crowd before a second performance from The Beastie Boys. Michael Jacksons Man In The Mirror, Roots Manuva, Lou Reed and Daft Punk all sounded great.
Then the hip hop legends took to the stage for a mostly instrumental set which may have disappointed casual fans but the chilled funk suited the occasion.
Later Primal Scream and The Gossip closed the eclectic festival.
BUT the festival, hidden in a stunning valley on the Isle Of Wight, was about much more than just music.
Highlights for us included chatting to a pirate on his honeymoon who had lost his wife five hours ago.
Chilling with the Womens Institute and their cakes near the woods was also quite magical. Shisha figured highly in our relaxed moments while the kids in fancy dress throughout the three days were a cute joy.
This year we were at Glastonbury, Lovebox, V Festival and Wireless but we have to say this topped them all.
Well see you there next summer!
