Beverley Knight is back with a new album and among its contributors is super dad Chris Martin.
Knight told MTV News that the Coldplay frontman, a label mate, phoned the singer after writing a few chords with her in mind. The pair then got together in the studio and thrashed it out side by side on a piano, resulting in the track 'First Time'.
Other standout tracks on Knight's new album 'Affirmation' include 'Supasonic' and the first single 'Come As You Are', co-written by Guy Chambers.
The vocalist is lined-up to perform at London's Somerset House on August 7 as part of the Grolsch Summer Set.
'Come As You Are' is out on June 21, followed by 'Affirmation' on June 28.
