Beyoncé Gives First Interview Since Blue Ivy's Birth
Queen B says she felt an 'instant connection' with her daughter...
Jay-Zwas with her throughout the birth at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital.
Speaking to Destiny's Child star explaining: "I will be a mother who always puts her children first. There are lots of fantastic women out there who hold down jobs and all sorts of other responsibilities while also being a good mother.
"The key for me is to work everything around your children and not the other way. With Jay and I both being artists, it’s always going to be presumed our child will do the same. If my child wanted to be in a band and that made her happy, then we would support that."
Blue Ivy had already had her first taste of musical success after Jay used her cries on track Glory, which entered the Billboard countdown at No.74 - making her the youngest artist ever to feature in the chart.
