Beyonce Is The Most Charitable Celebrity Of 2016
The 35-year-old superstar has done more good for the world than any other
Beyonce already gives the world so much with her incredible music offerings and inspirational presence.
But it seems she gives much more – and has been crowned The Most Charitable Star Of The Year!
Queen Bey, 35, was given the honour by DoSomething.org who deem her the winner in their Celebs Gone Good list.
The Formation singer was praised for her involvement in the Black Lives Matter movement and donated over $80,000 (£65,000) to Flint, Michigan, which was suffering from a water contamination crisis.
Speaking about the donation at the time, United Way Worldwide presidence Stacey D Stewart said: “We are so grateful for the support Beyonce has given to those in Flint and the way she has inspired her fans to fight for the education, health and financial stability of everyone in their communities.”
Over the past twelve months, Beyonce has also hosted money-raising gigs for New York charity the Robin Hood Foundation, and helped a 14 Detroit high school students pay their school fees.
Hamilton music creator and Grammy Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda was second on the list of most charitable stars, while Taylor Swift was at 3, Demi Lovato at 4, and Shailene Woodley at 5.
