Gwyneth Paltrow has cleared up internet rumours regarding Beyoncé and Jay-Z's baby girl's name, telling her followers on Twitter that she is called Blue Ivy Carter.
Following her arrival over the weekend, reports had suggested that Queen B and Jigga had named the tot Ivy Blue - with pal Gwyneth keen to sort out the confusion on the social networking site.
The Sliding Doors actress tweeted: "Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already."
Paltrow was then quizzed by one of her followers regarding the baby's name, where they asked: "Is it Ivy Blue, or Blue Ivy? So confused…." to which Gwyneth replied: "It's Blue Ivy Carter!"
Chris Martin's better half wasn't alone in congratulating Bey and Jay on the birth of Blue, with the likes of Rihanna and Def Jam music mogul Russell Simmons all expressing their delight on Twitter.
The UK's very own Cheryl Cole also tweeted: "Congratulations to Beyonce and Jay on the birth of their first child.. Welcome to the world Blue Ivy!"
Take That frontman and The X Factor judge Gary Barlow also said: "Congrats to Beyoncé & Jay-Z on the birth of their first child Blue Ivy... Special moment! x"
R&B star Ne-Yo tweeted: "Shout out to Blu Ivy Carter! Jay and B's beautiful baby girl! WELCOME TO THE WORLD PRINCESS!!"
Bey's sister Solange also commented on the birth of her niece, simply posting on her Twitter page: "The most beautiful girl in the world."
It is thought that their daughter's name has been inspired by Jigga's favourite colour Blue, with Ivy representing the Destiny's Child star's favourite number 4 or IV - which was also the name of her last album.
Despite various celebrities reaching out to young Blue, Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj is tipped to be the baby's godmother.
Minaj seemed to comment on the reports yesterday after one of her fans asked Nicki about the birth of her goddaughter on Twitter, to which the 27-year old replied: "Jop! She's da queen! Zont b mod bew bewz!"
Blue Ivy is thought to have arrived by planned C-section on Saturday (7th December) with allegations suggesting that Bey and the rap icon hired the entire fourth floor of the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York for the birth, at a cost of £840k.
Staff at the hospital were reportedly told to hand in their mobile phones, and security cameras were covered with tape.
Following the birth, a source close to the new parents have told The Sun: "Mother and baby are doing fine."
Congratulations Bey and Jay!
