During commentary of her fifth studio LP for iTunes Radio, the Destiny's Child star said of their song: "It's really difficult to find a song with such a strong message that doesn't feel preachy.

"Sia is such a genius. The second I heard the song I'm like, I have to sing this song. I don't care how hard I have to fight for the song, this is my song!"

Queen B also explained how she decided to stage the video for Pretty Hurts at a beauty pageant because they are "the most humiliating, judgmental place you can be as a woman".

In other Beyoncé news, the 32-year old's album has hit the top spot on the Billboard 200 - making it her fifth consecutive No.1 and setting a new US chart record.

Billboard adds that the achievement means Beyoncé is the first woman in US chart history to hit the top spot with her first five studio LPs.
