Goss from the Golden Globes

It's a good night for Borat and the cast of Dream Girls...

Beyonce's new flick Dreamgirls looks set to win big at the Oscars after bagging three gongs at the Golden Globes last night (January 15).

The film, loosely based on the story of Diana Ross andThe Supremes' rise to fame in the '60s, won the prestigious Best Picture gong.

And those Jennifer Hudson/Beyonce rift rumours are surely set to rumble on after Jen picked up Best Supporting Actress. Mel B's ex Eddie Murphy also picked up the silverware for Best Supporting Actor.

Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett's intricate new movie Babel won Best Dramatic Picture.

Elsewhere, Brit fave Sacha Baron Cohen, aka Borat, took home the Best Actor in a comedy/musical for his wicked role as the Kazakhstani, goat-punching, Pamela Anderson-smuggling journalist.

He had the audience giggling with his acceptance speech too, thanking Every American who has not sued me so far.

Brit star Helen Mirren won Best Actress for her role in The Queen; Meryl Streep took Best Actress in a comedy for her turn in The Devil Wears Prada; Martin Scorsese won Best Director for The Departed and in TV land, newcomer America Ferrara took home a trophy for her portrayal as Ugly Betty.
