MTV Laid Bare - Biffy Clyro Talk Us Through Their Explosive Video For ‘Flammable’

“It was one of the worst days I’ve ever had doing anything,” Simon Neil joked.

Bigger is better, right? That’s certainly the case with Biffy Clyro’s ‘Flammable’ music video, which sees the band encased in a massive glass box, suspended in mid-air, while hundreds of fireworks are fired straight at them. This video must’ve been' expensive'.

It might not seem like the most relaxing experience, but as the band told us, in anexclusive video commentary, it wasn’t as scary as it looks. “It’s remarkably tranquil in that box,” they said. “As much as it looks like a warzone…”

“We shot this in Bulgaria. Do you want to know why? Health and safety is not a priority in Bulgaria," the band joked."But, you know what, we live our lives on the edge (laughter).”

As it turns out, those lax health and safety rules resulted in'major'casualties: "We all left our jumpers outside the box. Bad idea, because when we went to retrieve them, they all had holes in them due to the ridiculous amount of fireworks flying around.”
