Big Brother Launch Night: Meet The Housemates
Identical twins, glamour model and mole are among first contestants this year...
The 14th series of Big Brotherhas got under way, with the introduction of nine housemates last night.
MEET THE BIG BROTHER 2013 HOUSEMATES
Identical twins, a shamanic lesbian fisherwoman, a glamour model and a partially deaf Harry Styles lookalike are among the hopefuls sent into the famous house by new host Emma Willis in a 90-minute launch night special.
First up were affable Jack and Joe Glenny, identical 18-year-old twins - one gay and one straight but both single - who work in a supermarket. They will count as one housemate.
Then came Sallie Axl, a 26-year-old "alternative" glamour model who showed enormous amounts of sideboob on launch night and proclaimed that she was about "t*ts, tats and beanie hats". She describes herself as single.
Third was 41-year-old Jemima Slade, apparently the owner of a dating site for "gold diggers" - who boasted that she had enjoyed having "sugar daddies" and been a "sugar mummy" in her time. She was honest that she is single and looking for love.
Michael was introduced as a 29-year-old postman who originally hailed from County Cork in Ireland - and who seemed a happy-go-lucky chap - until BB dropped the bombshell that he was in fact a professional actor and would be working as a mole on the show. He's been dubbed "the people's puppet".
School sports coach Callum Knell, 28, played on his credentials as a ladies' man during his introductory VT - boasting that he'd once had relationships with a mother and daughter (at separate times). He is single.
Single Harry Styles lookalike Sam Evans, a 23-year-old stockroom assistant from Wales, displayed a cheeky charm in his tape - and said that he wanted to be a role model for other hearing-impaired youngsters.
Wolfy Millington, a 20-year-old student, introduced herself as a mackerel fisherwoman and a devotee of shamanism. She has been in a lesbian relationship for four years.
Sophie Lawrence, a 20-year-old dental nurse from the East End of London was brought up in the gypsy community and helps her dad at his scrapyard. She is in a relationship.
And lastly we had 28-year-old Dexter Koh - who claims to be a celebrity publicist and to have once spent £120k on champagne in a night. He also claimed to have once been London's highest-paid male prostitute.
Once they were all in the house, Big Brother staged an early twist - which saw Michael the mole go into the diary room and choose to have the other housemates' suitcases put through an industrial shredder.
They all then had to watch workmen "shred" what they believed was their luggage in the garden.
Six more housemates will be introduced to the house this evening in another 90-minute show.
