The Only Way Is Essex cast member was on standby to be rushed to hospital after her face swelled up alarmingly.
A source told the Daily Star: "The poor girl looked like something from a horror movie, like an alien.
"She is so used to looking sexy and glam that she was really shaken up, and so were the other housemates.
"At first it was thought she would have to be taken to hospital, but the reaction showed signs of stabilising."
She was monitored and given a dose of anti-allergy medication before she was allowed back in.
On her return she told her fellow HMs: "This has come from my nose and spread into my face. They've given me a dressing too."

And comic Davidson has continued to rub people up the wrong way in the house - clashing with Luisa Zissman over chores.
He asked the runner-up from last year's The Apprentice if she would iron her husband's shirts.
And she replied: "I'll tell you why I'll never iron a man's shirt... Because my dad used to say to my mum, 'They're wrong, do it again'. And so I swore I'd never iron a man's shirt. That is why I don't like Jim Davidson."
To which Jim replied: "If I was like you, I think I wouldn't either, I have to admit."
He later asked her: "Does it break your heart that I may get more votes than you?"
And she answered: "No, it doesn't break my heart, I'm not heartbroken. I just find it bewildering and struggle to find why you are voted to stay in when you are sexist and women predominantly vote.
"Because I'm a woman and you do put women down a lot and I find it quite offensive."
