Michael Jackson came back to life at the Billboard Music Awards 2014 last night (May 18).

A hologram of the King of Pop opened the ceremony - which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena - with a beyond-the-grave performance of electro dance anthem Slave To The Rhythm from his UK No.1 posthumous Xscape album.

">His stint on stage began with a troupe of alien-like commandos in black shiny space suits doing some MJ-style popping and locking as the sound of helicopters blasted the crowd.

And when the curtain was raised there was… well, a hologram of a guy who looked (sort of) like Jackson.

[related]In true Jacko style, the hologram moved like MJ, right down to the moonwalk, copious crotch grabs and shoe tip balancing.

The effect was reminiscent of a hologram of Tupac, which appeared on stage with Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg at Coachella in 2012.
