Miguel Injures Fan During Billboard Award Performance

Miguel was left a little red faced at the Billboard Music Awards 2013 last night (May 19) after accidentally injuring members of the audience during his performance.

The singer was singing his hit Adorn at the ceremony in Las Vegas, when he landed awkwardly on two fans after mistiming a jump from the stage.

In video footage of the mishap, Miguel is seen landing on one girl, as he kicks another in the head.

He was then seen grabbing his knee, before carrying on with his performance while sitting on the floor.

After the accident, the star was seen with the injured fan backstage, where she was holding an ice pack on her arm.

Miguel later told Billboard: "Well, I think it's kind of clear what happened. But I'm very happy to bring my new friend, Khyati, we just met.

"Unfortunately we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we're okay."

He continued: "The crazy thing is, when you're performing and you're just kind of into it, you never know where it's gonna go and where you're gonna go with it, and how that might turn out.

"So this is one of the less favourable moments. [I] got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay."

Despite her injuries, the fan went on to joke: "I 'Adorn' him."
