This is The Real Reason Why Blac Chyna Is Changing Her Name To Angela Renee Kardashian
While we’re still absorbing the fact that there’s already another Kardash baby on the way, it’s now been revealed that Chyna’s in the process of legally changing her name to Angela Renee Kardashian.
Oh yes, TMZ broke the news that the star had filed an application to own rights to the name on May 3.
But after it was reported that Chyna’s made the move to make money from ‘entertainment services, namely, live, televised, and movie appearances’, it seems the real (and much less sassy) reason for the change has now come to light.
Chyna, whose real name is Angela Renee White, apparently doesn’t want to ditch her current label at all, and is only taking hold of this new Kardashian name so that nobody else can make money on the title instead.
Yep, essentially it was just a lot of legal jargon that’s led to Chyna’s application to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
To be fair, this news shouldn’t be too surprising to Rob’s family either, considering Kim trademarked her own name back when she became Kim Kardashian West.
Also, IMAGINE the faces on Kris and co. when Rob dropped the news that she’d be taking his name.
That in itself is well worth the hassle.
