Happy Christmas, Cynics! Here's The New Black Mirror: White Christmas Trailer

Hey Christmas elves, how’s about a slap of sinister foreboding to get you in the spirit of Yuletide? Anti-Santa Charlie Brooker has just tweeted the link to the new Black Mirror: White Christmas trailer, and by golly it looks creepy.

A 40-second preamble to what will be a feature length special, Black Mirror: White Christmas has shipped in Jon Hamm (tall dark and handsome off of Bridesmaids and Mad Men) as its American lead.

The trailer shows Hamm appearing to puppeteer a dismal dance of festivities, as phrases like “I’ll block you” are thrown about in futuristic-looking kitchens. Faces like Game Of Thrones Red Wedding victim Oona Chaplin and the chump from One Day, Rafe Spall, also feature.

Brooker (arguably one of the most on-point writers of this century) has a curious knack of forecasting the future by picking on difficult societal traits; his previous Black Mirror endeavours have hit chords with their shock tactics (Prime Minister having pig sex anyone?) and White Christmas will no doubt do the same. We. Can’t. Wait.
