Black Panther Villain Revealed
Marvel’s Black Panther has revealed its villain and he’s… well… he’s a bit different. Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to introduce you to… Man-Ape! That name again… is Man-Ape. Do not adjust your screen.
In case you’re not so hot on your Black Panther lore, Man-Ape is the alter-ego of M'Baku, a Wakandan warrior who gains super-powers after eating the skin and drinking the blood of a gorilla. As you do.
Not only has the villain’s identity been revealed, but we also know who will be playing him, with Person Of Interest star Winston Duke having reportedly signed on to join the cast. Duke has won plenty of plaudits for his performance in that show, so as far as the casting goes, you can count us in!
And even though Man-Ape might sound a TINY bit silly, it’s not as though Marvel haven’t got form with delivering with their more out-there characters. After all, nobody thought a movie about a talking tree and a psychotic racoon was a safe bet, but Guardians turned out okay….
Directed by Ryan Coogler and co-starring Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o, Black Panther will open in the UK on 6 July 2018.
