The late Amy Winehouse's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil is reported to be in a coma following an overdose on hard drugs and alcohol.
The Sun reports that ex-con Blake was rushed to Dewsbury Hospital after his partner Sarah Aspin found him choking on his own vomit in bed the morning after his claimed binge.
Blake, 30, is claimed to be battling an infection caused by mixing alcohol, heroin and morphine. He is said to be "critically ill" and it is feared he could suffer permanent brain damage.
Sarah, who has a 15-month-old child with Blake, said: "The doctors say they don't know the prognosis. They said they put him in a coma to help him and due to infection.
"I'm praying he'll survive, but I'm having to prepare myself that he may never wake up. I am devastated, just devastated, at what has happened. I just want to cry all the time - but I have to be strong for our son Jack."
She explained how events unfolded last week, saying: "We'd been so happy last Thursday morning and talked about getting married. Blake had a 1pm appointment with the probation service in Morley, and said he might be late as he was meeting a friend.
"He's never really been a drinker, but when he got home with this friend, he was slurring his words and staggering - I thought he was on something. I was very angry because he'd been doing so well. I had to get his shoes and trousers off to help him into bed.
"[The] next morning I went to get up and heard a horrid scratching and grating breathing sound. I looked round and saw Blake lying there completely grey. His eyes were rolled back and his mouth was locked together."
We told you earlier this year how Blake was reported to be working as a drugs counsellor.
