Funky art-rockers Bloc Party have cancelled a number of shows on their current US tour with Panic! At The Disco after drummer Matt Tong was raced to hospital in Atlanta last night (November 9).

It was announced that the sticksman suffered from a collapsed lung.

Fortunately, doctors say Matt is in a comfortable condition and not in any danger, however he'll be in hospital for several days for observation.

The band have now cancelled next week's gigs in Charlotte, NC (Cricket Arena), Fairfax, VA (Patriot Center) and both New York Madison Square Garden shows as a result.
