Blur Talk Reunion
The band speak about their plans for next years live dates
Blur have spoken about their shock reunion and the one-off date they will play in London next year.
The Britpop legends are reuniting- eight years after their full line-up played together.
Graham Coxon, who fell out with Damon Albarn and quit the band in 2000, explained that he was inspired by internet videos.
He said: What happened really is, encountering that sort of, magic of performances on things that are very convenient like YouTube.
I looked at a couple of performances and there are several things that I have missed about blur live experience and being the guitar player.
Albarn agreed with his band mate saying: I went on YouTube and I just, last weekend and I just watched a load of our stuff just to remind myself really what we were like because its been a long time,
Last time we played all together was melt down at the Scott Walker night at the Royal Festival Hall so its been a really really long time, nearly ten years.
Notorious grump Damon also said they will try to please the crowd with song choices at the Hyde Park show next July.
He said: I think we have an idea of a few songs were going to play. But I think its just important to really give the clear picture next summer about what we were about, what got us excited and try and play to our strengths really and you know, spread a little happiness really.
Tickets for the gig go on sale this Friday December 12 and MTV cannot wait!
