Label Want New Album From Blur

After they announced a new single…

Blur’s label boss has urged the group to make a new album after their recent reunion.

The four piece reformed last year for live dates in Hyde Park and at festivals including Glastonbury and T In The Park.
And just last week it was announced that the Britpop legends would release a one off 7” single to promote Record Store Day this Friday.
Blur entered the studio in the last month to record the single- which so far has no title.
Now Parlophone boss Miles Leonard has said he’d love them to record more. He told BBC 6Music:
"They sound as competent and as strong as they've ever sounded before. I just hope that from hearing a song like this that the band feel there's more in them.
“We certainly do as a label and I'm sure when fans hear this they'll think the same.”
Since the last Blur release in 2004 Damon Albarn has released Gorillaz albums Demon Days and Plastic Beach as well as an album with The Good The Bad and the Queen.
Graham Coxon has released solo records, Alex James has become a TV talent show regular and Dave Rowntree has got into politics.
