With a career spanning decades British music photographerBlur to Run DMC and LL Cool J to Oasis the London born photographer has shot and hung out with the best of them.
This summer, to celebrate his iconic career Lawrence is releasing The World is Yours, an exhibition and accompanying book spanning his entire career.
At the launch party in East London, MTV News asked Lawrence about the book. He said:

‘There’s over 25 years of work in there from when I started at 16-17, from early gigs that I photographed for the NME, up til the present day, the recent Paul Weller photos, Grace Jones sessions and Oasis pictures."
In the early 80s as hip hop took off, Lawrence travelled to the US and captured legendary artists like Eric B and Rakim and Public Enemy in their prime.

In the last 19 years Lawrence has been Paul Weller’s go to man, working as his tour photographer and creating iconic images for several Weller albums.

But there’s one lady in Lawrence’s career that stands out above the rest. He explained:"It was great to work with Grace Jones. I’d always thought she was such a brilliant artist and she lived up to all my expectations. She was brilliant."
Just a few weeks ago Lawrence travelled to Moscow to photograph Noel Gallagher. The Oasis boys and Lawrence have worked together countless times throughout their respective careers, forming a special bond along the way.

"They’re great, I get on really well with them both, they’re lovely people, I’ve had a good relationship with them," he told MTVNews.
So if friendships with both Liam and Noel Gallagher don’t prove what a top guy and great photographer Lawrence is, you’ll have to let his work speak for itself. Lawrence’s book ‘The World is Yours’ is out now and costs £25.
