Geldof doesn’t like Live Earth

Saint Bob isnt sure about this summers Wembley Stadium gig

Bob Geldof has criticised the Live Earth shows happening this summer that aim to promote global warming concerns.

The Boomtown Rats man was behind 1985s Live Aid and the more recent Live 8 series of concerts.

He told a Dutch newspaper: "I hope [the Live Earth concerts] are a success. But why is Al Gore actually organizing them? To make us aware of the greenhouse effect? Everybody's known about that problem for years."

Geldof continued: "Live Earth doesn't have a final goal. I would only organise this if I could go on stage and announce concrete environmental measures from the American presidential candidates."

Maybe hes upset at not being asked to help out but Bob slated the concerts saying: So it's just an enormous pop concert or the umpteenth time that, say, Madonna or Coldplay get up on stage."

Er, all we can say is- pot, kettle, black.

In other Live Earth news Ricky Gervias is rumoured to be appearing at the Wembley Stadium leg with comedy-rock group Spinal tap.
