Guy Ritchie Bookies' Favourite To Direct Bond 24

Guy Ritchie has been named ‘best bet’ for director ofBond Sam Mendes has turned down the project due to other commitments, bets are being taken as to who will helm the next movie in the franchise. 

Ritchie, who most recently directed Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, was named the 4/1 favourite by the bookmakers.

Second favourite for the role is Martin Campbell, who directed Casino Royale as well as Pierce Brosnan's debut in GoldenEye.

Next in line were Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg and Ang Lee.

Outsiders include Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino and Clint Eastwood.
