J.K. Rowling Apologises To Harry Potter Fans For Killing Off Severus Snape
Not good enough tbh.
Having already apologised for killing off some of the Harry Potter fandoms favourite characters (Remus Lupin and Fred Weasley deserved better tbh) J.K. Rowling has now turned her attention to the tragic and genuinely heart-wrenching death of Severus Snape.
If you follow the author on Twitter you'll be aware of the fact she marks the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts with a different memorium each year. This time, it's the Potions teacher and Half-Blood Prince who we're all being asked to raise our wands for.
Being the kind of character who divided opinion in the fandom, J.K. Rowling reckons it's time we brushed aside the criticism about Snape's past to pay tribute to his invisible guiding hand in the downfall of Lord Voldemort.
While this is definitely a lovely sentiment, it's also reignited the age-old debate about how honourable the reformed Death Eater really was.
Still, thoughts on J.K. Rowling's apology? Reckon she was right to speak up for Snape or is this all a load of hogwash? Let us know with a tweet @MTVUK.
