Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie gave nearly $7 million to charity last year- it’s been revealed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter the actor’s tax records show they handed $6.8m to a range of causes in 2008.

The Global Health Council received $2 million from the couple while Human Rights Watch and Pitt’s own Make It Right campaign were each given $1 million.

The money was given out through Brad and Ange’s Jolie- Pitt Foundation and is double what they donated in 2007.

In the last two years the stars have enjoyed success with movies including Wanted, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and Burn After Reading.
