First Look At Brangelina’s New Movie ‘By The Sea’
Our fave celeb couple heads to France for their retro love story...
It’s been a while since Mr. & Mrs. Smith appeared together on the big screen, almost ten years in fact. However, a newly married Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will star opposite one another once again in By the Sea.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the film may or may not be loosely based on the Emily Dickinson poem of the same title. Nevertheless, the sentiment remains intact as Jolie plays Vanessa, a former dancer experiencing a lull in her marriage to her writer husband Roland (played by Pitt).
The romantic drama finds the two returning to love after reviving their passion in a village by the sea. The film takes place in France during the ‘70s, with a cast of characters — from Niels Arestrup to Richard Bohringer — who all play into the storyline of two paramours finding their way back to love once again.
“I chose to set By the Sea in the 1970s, not only because it is a colorful and alluring era, but because it removes many of the distractions of contemporary life and allows the focus to remain squarely on the emotions that the characters experience in their journey,” Jolie told EW.
By the Sea began filming in Malta earlier this month; there is no word yet on a release date.
